Thursday Night Football brings us two teams who are trending in opposite directions!
The Jacksonville Jaguars have won 3 out of their past 4 Games – beating some impressive teams including the Ravens, Titans, and Cowboys.
What are the Jets up to? Well, they’re 7-7, but they’ve lost 4 of their past 5 Games albeit to some tough competition. Zach Wilson is the expected starter at QB for the Jets, which apparently everyone seems to be upset about.
Regardless, one of these teams is going to take a step closer towards the NFL Playoffs. Vegas sets the line at NYJ -1.5 and an Over/Under of 37.5 Points. That’s not a ton to go on – so let’s try to find 5 Players that will bring you value on PlayChip on Thursday!
PlayChip Player Values:
1. Braxton Berrios — $3,020
At first glance, there isn’t much to like about Berrios.
He’s only had 5 Receptions total over his past 4 games – certainly not the kind of WR we usually want to target.
However, if we dig in a little bit, we can find that he got 6 Targets last week and he’s getting looks downfield from embattled QB Zach Wilson. Will Wilson ever connect with Berrios? I’m honestly not sure… but at $3k, I’m willing to give him a shot against this JAX DEF that gives up the 8th most Fantasy PTS to WR’s.
2. Travis Etienne Jr. — $16,810
Etienne has certainly had an up and down season so far for the Jaguars.
He’s been able to score up to 26 Fantasy PTS on PlayChip and has been as low as 3 Points three separate times. He had a nice day against the Cowboys last week rushing for 103 Yards, but he hasn’t been able to find the Endzone recently – a streak dating back to Nov. 6th.
If he can get a TD on the board against the Jets – he should turn out to be a fine play.
3. Zonovan Knight — $13,040
I think people will be looking to avoid Knight after a 2.3 Point performance last week and a “Questionable” tag attached to his name.
If Knight is completely healthy, he’ll be a great play against a Jags’ Defense that is middle-of-the-pack against the Run.
He’s seen 13 to 17 Rushes in every single game that he’s played so far and he should be a good candidate for around 75 Rushing Yards and a TD if he meets that mark on Thursday.
Please note – if Knight doesn’t play, Michael Carter will be a MUST play at $11,020.
4. Garrett Wilson — $14,570
Wilson is becoming one of the best-performing Rookies in the NFL this season even with the turmoil he’s had to go through with his team’s lackluster QB performance.
In the past four weeks, he’s put up totals of 26, 24, 13, and 13 Fantasy PTS on PlayChip.
You’d certainly hope for a 24/26 as opposed to a 13 PT kind of night, I think he’s certainly capable of those numbers in this spot.
5. Marvin Jones Jr. — $7,120
Zay Jones and Evan Engram are going to draw most of the attention for this Jags’ Passing Offense – and they’ll be on the field a bit more than Marvin Jones Jr. will be.
Zay Jones was on the field 97% of the time and Engram had an 86% rate while Marvin Jones Jr. was down at 66%.
That’s really not ideal, but for the $3k pricing difference, Marvin may be able to make up the difference.
He found the endzone against the Cowboys as well as a few weeks ago against the Ravens. If Engram and Zay Jones end up failing in terms of Fantasy PTS, the “other” Jones will make an awesome pivot.

Don’t be afraid to stack Lawrence and Etienne together in your lineups on Thursday Night. If Lawrence succeeds early, Etienne should get plenty of Fantasy PTS as well.

- RB Zonovan Knight — $13,040
- WR Corey Davis — $12,010
AVG REMAINING: $13,460
$13.4k is a LOT of salary to get arguably the best 3 Jets weapons that will be on the field Thursday. There are a lot of paths to success using these core 3 Players for sure.
